Among his notable film roles are 28 Days in 2000, A Knight's Tale in 2001, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story in 2004, and voicing Sonny in I, Robot in 2004. His filmography includes the Western thriller 3:10 to Yuma in 2007 and led the black comedy horror film Tucker & Dale vs. Evil in 2010. Additional appearances include the action blockbuster Transformers: Dark of the Moon in 2011, the biographical film 42 in 2013, the sci-fi sequel Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials in 2015, and the historical drama Trumbo in 2015.
